No Break Water
The anchorage is 6 nautical miles (NM) away from Bedi port, about 4 NM from New Bedi port and 2.5 NM from New Rozi Pier site. It can accommodate 17 ships at a time in the designated anchorage area,Approach to anchorage is through a channel which is 9.5 km. It dries up at most of the places during low waters. Lighters move from the Port to anchorage during high tide hours. The sailing time for lighters is about 2 hours from Port to anchorage .The anchorage is 6 nautical miles away from Bedi port ALatitude: 22° 28' N, Longitude: 069° 05' E

Pilot Station : Tuna Buoy
Pilotage is not compulsory at the Port up to a draft of 9 m. For a draft of more than 9 m. pilot guide is necessary, from Tuna Buoy up to the anchorage, for which advance intimation of 24 hours is necessary.
Pilotage is compulsory for shifting of vessel from Outer anchorage to Inner anchorage
The Outer anchorage is situated at 25 nautical mile from port near Tuna buoy at Lat: 22o 48.2' N Long: 70o 10.6’ E for draft up to 12m and at Lat: 22o 50.3' N and Long: 70o 10.6' E for draft more than 12m. The inner anchorage is at 5.5 nautical miles from the port situated at Lat: 22o 55.43'N and Long: 70o 22. 86' E and available draft is more than 12m.
Night navigation facilities is not permitted / provided by port authority, pilot available only during daytime for vessel inward / outward movement. Pilot board the vessel 2 hours prior in high tide for vessel inward / outward Movement.
Navigational aid : available at outer Tuna Buoy - 17.5 nautical miles from Navlakhi. The Navlakhi Port limit starts only from Buoy No. 5, installed in Hansthal Creek.

Temperature 30o C to 35o C during summer and 10 o C to 15 o C during winter. Southwest Monsoon 15 May to 15 September.
The region has dry tropical monsoon type of climate with an average rainfall of about 300 mm during July – September. The winter lasts from November to February when the climate is cool and dry and January is the coldest month. The summer (March – June) is dry and hot with May being the hottest month of the year. A strong WSW wind blows throughout the summer.
The predominant wind direction is west. Average wind velocity at Sikka increases from 45km/h in April to 55km/h during June-July and falls to 35 km/h in month of August. However, during occasional storms the wind velocity is observed to go up to 105km/h.

No port heath office at Sikka port hence in normal case free pratique will be granted by customs boarding officer after boarding the vessel, if vessel comes from yellow fever area within last 30 days then PHO Kandla will board vessel and grant free pratique.

There are no beam and LOA restrictions (If weather condition having strong wind and strong current due to spring tide so GMB port authority bring the vessel at inner anchorage only the vessel is less than 190 Meters LOA.
The maximum permissible draft allowed up to 11 meters at inner anchorage, as per the guidelines of Indian Tide Table 2005 (Page no. 58 to 60).
Navlakhi is anchorage working port No berthing facilities.
Draft restriction 11 mtrs at inner anchorage. No draft restriction at outer anchorage.
Pilotage is mandatory. No night navigation is allowed/permitted. Shifting of vessel during day light hours in high tide only. LOA restriction is 225 mtrs at inner anchorage. Only three vessels are permitted to work at inner anchorage.
