BERTHING POLICY/PRIORITY

2 berths allotted for finished Fertilizers or any other government priority vessels excluding coastal cargo vessel.

1 berth is allotted for Coastal cargo vessel in case there is no coastal or government priority vessels then project/steel cargo will be accommodated on seniority basis.

 

5 berths are allotted to Priority groups 2 berth for higher productivity, 24 hours 13500 mt and above 7000/5500 MT above priority.

Steel carrying vessel will be allotted one berth and general export and Import 5 berths.

 

PRIORITY GROUP: Berthing criteria for priority vessels - 2 vessels that guarantee higher productivity, one vessel guarantee complete Cargo operation within 24 hours, one vessel guarantee day output of 13500 MT, one vessel that can achieve a minimum output of 7000 MTs (bulk cargo) / 5500 MTs (unitized cargo), one berth for steel vessels and 5 berths are under general category.

The berth under priority will be allotted to vessels handling project cargo and other cargoes on first come-first serve basis. These groups are irrespective of import or export cargo, bulk or break bulk cargo except 5500 MT Group which is only for break-bulk cargo ships excluding timber logs vessels.
